671768, If only addiction considered context

671789, You need to try a fucked up drug first before you get addicted
Posted by Deebot, Sun Feb-02-14 05:33 PM
yall are funny.
671876, So cause he tried something in his 20's, he's a bad father.
Posted by Ryan M, Mon Feb-03-14 10:15 PM
Cmon.
671773, Yup. That's what addicts are known for. Responsibility.
Posted by bignick, Sun Feb-02-14 03:44 PM
671781, You clearly haven't known anyone who suffered from addiction.
Posted by Frank Longo, Sun Feb-02-14 04:17 PM
671788, FOH Franky....before addiction sets in, you need to be dumb enough
Posted by Deebot, Sun Feb-02-14 05:26 PM
to take a drug like that for the first time. And he did. That's irresponsible, especially with children.

We're gonna debate this?
671790, He didn't become addicted when he had kids. That's wrong.
Posted by Frank Longo, Sun Feb-02-14 05:51 PM
He was an addict in his younger days, lived sober for a long period of time, then backslid a year ago. It happens to addicts. Anyone who knows an addict knows backsliding is a possibility at any time.
671794, ^^^^
Posted by ODotSoHot, Sun Feb-02-14 09:36 PM
Yup...23 years sober. Truly sad.
671975, Set these high and mighty fools straight, Frank. Thank you.

671774, crazy news and you felt like in the last 6 years he'd hit his stride
Posted by IceburgSmurf, Sun Feb-02-14 03:46 PM
like prior he was typecast as the nervous losery character but in the last 6-10 years he had developed his own style of leading man, always watchable, always commanding your attention. this is a tough one i feel like this must have been how people felt when cazale passed. RIP
671776, Wtf?? Damn RIP

Posted by dgonsh, Sun Feb-02-14 04:34 PM
like a tonne of bricks.

entertainment was not ready to lose him. one of the greatest and so many years of prime work to go. such a shame.

sad for his family and the movie world.
671786, same here

I was in the checkout line at the grocery store checking twitter and saw the news. Hoped it was a hoax, but when I saw it wasn't I could barely concentrate and had to fight back the tears as I checked out. I think this might be the first time a celeb death really hit me like that.
671791, wow...just wow...R.I.P.

671999, Damn, that woulda been ILL.
Posted by High Society, Wed Feb-05-14 09:33 PM
672000, He was hitting the period where his roles would be changing.
Posted by High Society, Wed Feb-05-14 09:36 PM
You saw it with The Master.
He was gearing up for that run as an actor
where instead of the friend, he was a father -
an older brother in a sibling movie (which don't get made enough.)

SUCKS, we lost one of the greats.

672089, R.I.P. + my fav Hoff scene (as Dean Trumbell aka Mattress Man)
Posted by araQual, Thu Feb-06-14 07:31 PM
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gxep5Z1h3_U.

tis a small role and a blip on his entire stellar career, but it happened to take place in my fav film of all-times...n he kinda almost stole the film away from the leads lol.

butye, addiction's a bitch.
whether it's a high profile person or a family member, ppl goin out like this is always tragic.
