V renewed while Better Off Ted was cancelled. Fucking travesty.

FLASH FORWARD!!!!
hahaha... i could see it coming, but its crap when u invest time in a show only for it to be cancelled...

They were giving answers to the questions & the characters were getting into some interesting dilemmas. I'm disappointed that folks gave up on it so quickly.

518312, did they ever address this?
Posted by Gemini_Two_One, Mon May-17-10 03:30 PM

When Al committed suicide did Fiona's flash change? How could her flash be the same if Al was dead?

-------------------------------------------------------
"I suck when it comes to Internet forums"
518317, She was the lady he was supposed to have killed, right? *spoilers*
Posted by Marbles, Mon May-17-10 03:50 PM

Had the 2 little boys and all?

They just dealt with it in a recent episode. One of those guys who was with that Blue Hand cult was killing people who dodged death in the flash forwards.

He was going after Fiona while Dmitri and the curly-haired British agent were trying to protect her. The Blue Hand is chasing Fiona and Dmitri is chasing Blue Hand. The British agent pulls up on the scene in a car and Fiona runs right in front of her and gets hit.

Did she really avoid her flash forward? I mean just because you avoid what you see doesn't mean you're gonna live forever.

I think my favorite twist is either Janice as a double-agent or Dmitri as the father of Janice's baby.
518368, No, Fiona wass the British agent
Posted by Gemini_Two_One, Mon May-17-10 09:01 PM
In her flash forward she was working with Al, but since Al died I always wondered what happened to her flash.

517840, The execs couldn't afford to cancel V.
Posted by SoulHonky, Fri May-14-10 01:04 PM
They couldn't dump both that and Flashforward. They invested a ton in those being the next "Lost" and couldn't just say, "Uh yeah, neither of those are worth picking up."

I wish a cable channel picked up Better Off Ted but I think a lot of the cast probably jumped to other shows so it wasn't going to happen.
517877, They can after one more season...if that.
Posted by jigga, Fri May-14-10 03:36 PM
517893, Oh, it'll be gone by this time next year.
Posted by SoulHonky, Fri May-14-10 04:22 PM
The execs will be hoping that some new show hits or they find the next big thing that can overshadow the failure that V was.

i watched quite a bit of this new season and by the end i liked it. abc messed up they should have put it with the other wed comedys. pretty early on one of them was cancelled and so they would show a rerun of modern family in its place. if scrubs was in that slot it prob would have done good enough for another season but it had a long run.
518177, Sure did

And I'm glad that they cancelled FlashForward so my wife will stop watching it, V has actually improved since it's come back. It seems like it might be slipping away again after a number of solid episodes. They really need to ramp up the sci-fi aspect I think, but we'll see what they do in the second season.

They've improved the quality enough that I'll check for it during the early part of next year.
517911, I really do celebrate Heroes being cancelled
Posted by Calico, Fri May-14-10 06:48 PM
i'm not really mad at any of these choices EXCEPT...Smallville....talk about beating a dead Kryptonian horse

and i don't get how The Middle survives and BOT doesn't....
517917, That show fizzled out quickly
Posted by ZooTown74, Fri May-14-10 07:10 PM
Season 1 was good, season 2 was okay until the finale, and I checked out after episode 2 of season 3

At least Lost has been given a chance to finish its story, though Heroes might be given a wrap-up movie

Yippee

that show lasted 4 seasons and 81 episodes and it was pretty shitty (when jb smoove was on they had some good episodes). they remade that show at least three times during its run but finally it was put down
518292, Fuck!! Checked this just to see status of Better Off Ted

That show was awesome but clearly wasn't getting love. If NBC treated the Office like ABC treated BOT it would have been canceled by now.

Source: CBS canceling `Cold Case,' 6 other series
By LYNN ELBER (AP) – 1 hour ago

LOS ANGELES — CBS is moving aggressively to shake up its 2010-11 season, canceling "Cold Case," "Ghost Whisperer" and five other series.
According to a person familiar with the changes, other canceled shows include "Numb3rs," "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Gary Unmarried," "Miami Medical" and "Accidentally on Purpose." The person, who wasn't authorized to discuss the changes publicly, spoke on condition of anonymity.
The wholesale axings came as a surprise, given the respectable ratings earned by some of the shows and CBS' standing as the most-watched network.
The cancellations will clear shelf space for newcomers, including William Shatner's first sitcom, a police drama with Tom Selleck and other shows to be officially announced Wednesday by CBS.

cbs is up to the challenge from
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i66e6b9942a0b821f3b11dc392361d257

But the biggest headline here is the Thursday comedy block. The move has CBS taking aim at incumbent NBC, whose comedies have softened in recent years. Not only are NBC's "Community" and "30 Rock" comedies, they're both geek-friendly like "Big Bang Theory" (just where "My Dad Says" falls on that spectrum remains to be seen).

"We're not in the charity business," said Kahl after a press conference about the Thursday move. "The performance of comedies is not something that deterred us. People like those shows, but they're not setting the world on fire ratings wise."

yeah thats been fox but mainly because it was last among the four. so when you are last you have nothing to lose and try different things but once you get near the top you just try to hold on.
