230087, I Will NEVER be too old to enjoy the shit out of "Home Alone"
Posted by mcdeezjawns, Sun Nov-12-06 08:05 PM
One thing I do love about the post halloween Xmas Onslaught is the heavy rotation this movie gets, especially on TBS...Seriously, this movie is great every time...Highly entertaining and pretty hilarious...The sound of Marv's screams are up there on my list of things that make me piss my pants laughing everytime...

Jumping on a grocery cart and riding it through the parking lot and Watching Home Alone are two things I shall never be too old to enjoy

Anyone feel me on this?
230096, I might be the only one in here to agree with you, but I feel the same...

Ever since I've been a little kid, me and my older brother and sis (both in their late 20s now by the way, I'm 22) have watched it on xmas eve. Great movie

Good for them for being able to pull off bascially the same exact premise, and the same exact jokes, and make it work...
Now 3....that's a whole different story, I guess..I didnt even know it existed, then I found out and was shocked that they went for it again...But IMO no Macaulay, no go
230276, yes! Home Alone, Christmas Story and the claymation

You know, I'm not sure I'd want to be Kate, anyway. Pop out so many kids that I can't keep track of them all and actually leave one behind? Not a good look. :-p

I did catch part of the airing on TBS that the org. poster is referencing though, but I just can't watch Home Alone on TV. Not only because of the commercials, not only because it's edited, but I swear to you this shit is just about a ritual to me. Like, I've been watching the same VHS copy since it first came out. The tapes worn, but I need to have those tracking problems with the opening credits. I need to see the Ferngully trailer before it starts. I need the Pepsi ad, the American Airlines promo.
231834, you're bringing back some beautiful memories

I KNOW we got that somewhere in the family archives, taped off Disney or some shit....

Btw...that shit reminds me of my copy of Batman(1989). It's a Diet Coke commercial and has Michael Gogh in it. "Just for the taste of IIT..." I love that movie though, despite the flaws.

He sets up the house for the invasion...then sits down to what appears to be the single most delicious plate of microwave macaroni and Cheese in the world...says his prayers...picks up the fork...and then the bell rings and its time for action...He doesnt take a single bite...Fuckin kills me every time...I keep watching it hoping that this time he'll eat some...but never...

I mean he could shove a fork-full into his mouth and run off. Or don't say grace!
231914, There is only one explanation.
Posted by ricky_BUTLER, Sun Nov-19-06 02:57 PM
It was his house, he had to defend it.

But yeah, Kevin wasted more than a little food. Remember all the ice cream he served up and left uneaten? Though I guess he was compensating for the cheese pizza Buzz had played him for.

BTW, do they even make Crunch Tators anymore?
234342, nice xmas movie......

"Look what ya did, ya little jerk!"

"Well how am I supposed to shave in France?
Grow a goatee"

"I took a shower washing every body part with actual soap; including all my major crevices; including in between my toes and in my belly button which I never did before but sort of enjoyed. I washed my hair with adult formula shampoo and used cream rinse for that just-washed shine. I can't seem to find my toothbrush, so I'll pick one up when I go out today. Other than that, I'm in good shape. "

"Is this toothbrush approved by the American Dental Association?"

"How could we do this? We forgot him.
We didn't forget him. We just miscounted.
What kind of a mother am I?
If it makes you feel any better, I forgot my reading glasses"

"Hi, I'm Mitch Murphy. I live across the street. You guys going out of town? We're going to Orlando, Florida. Well, actually, first we're going to Missouri to pick up my grandma. Did you know the McCallisters are going to France? Do you know if it's cold there? Do these vans get good gas mileage?"

Why the hell are you dressed like a chicken?"
