I felt like the episode a few episode before it REALLY felt like the series finale. That's why I was a little let down by the actual season finale.

You're right. Can't remember the kid's name. Lotta set-up in the early episodes for very little pay-off. Unless the point was to show how hard it was to defect.

Yep, after all this set-up that Phillip is sick of it all, I can see it being that when push comes to shove, he'll be down.
