If you're the type that likes uncomfortable art house flicks and can deal with the accusations of being a tasteless hipster, then this flick is up your alley.

I was captivated by the tone, pace, cinematography, and Ringo Kikuchi's acting. The Tokyo scenes were so well done and accurate, I felt as anxious as Kumiko to leave it all behind. Once she got to Minnesota I felt the same foolish hope and determination as Kumiko to find her treasure.

I loved the ending too.

This film will definitely stay with me. I liked it so much after one viewing that I can already tell it's in my Top 10 films for the past 5 years.

It's a polarizing film that many viewers will understandably not like and hate on, but it worked perfectly for me.
