but at least he made a concerted effort to provide context for why they were mad at the U.S. This is not a "they hate us for our freedom" type of movie. It's more of a "they hate us because we manufactured a coup to overthrow a democratically elected leader and installed a brutal, oppressive dictator because it was in our own national interest and then offered the guy asylum after he finally lost power" type of movie.
