I think that "void" in rap that some of us were waiting for Jay Elec to fill, was filled by Kendrick and others...there's really nothing that hip hop is missing right now. There's room for Jay, by the whole "savior of hip hop" thing is unnecessary now. Just do your thing.
That said, even tho his work ethic may be laughable, dude was dope. I think its kinda weird when people act like he was a hack or a phony. Maybe he was a phony messiah, but he's the real deal as a rapper.
I'm too busy listening to new releases and squeezing in some oldies but goodies to keep hope alive for him to drop, but I'll tell ya, if Act II ever does drop, I'm listening. And I think it'll be good enough.
