The album is too long.
It starts out strong imo. Songs 1 - 8 are all keepers.
The wheels fall off quick after that.

I could do without the next like 5 or 6 songs.
I understand he's got a wide audience he needs to appeal to
so I get the Drake, Ella Mai, Kodak Black, Melli, Jeremih, and 21 Savage features.

But none of those songs do it for me.
After Championships, (which would be a much better song if it was Ross rapping), I don't like another song till OodleS. I like 100 Summers.
I rock with Stuck in my Ways and Cold Hearted 2, the outro.

So 1-8, 13, 15, 17, & 19.

12 out of 19, which is about what I expected to like if had 19 songs.

Some big money was spent on production, some costly sample flips I imagine.

But I did hear the song with Hov a few days ago and I was pretty blown away by Hov's verse.

not a Meek fan beyond rooting for him since his bs legal issues.

He's a pretty straight forward, limited emcee.
Nothing clever about his written raps.

Every once in a while, he'll have a song that sounds great in the ride; an epic sounding beat that needs a large amount
of energy from emcee to match intensity and the combination works well, IE the Dreams & Nightmares intro.

I like songs 1-8 on this album as I'll always be a sucker for
In The Air Tonight, you gotta suck as a beatmaker to mess up that sample. Trauma, the Mobb Deep sample, rider shit. I was not a fan of Uptown Vibes at first, but that song has grown on me and like it within context of album. Cardi smashed her feature, I enjoy her music lol.

When What's Free started, immediately heard What's Beef and said,
"OH NOOOOOOO!" I thought... this could go left quick and be corny.
But it works, but please don't let this be new trend and producers start trying to freak the classic cinematic soundscapes on LAD.

Respect the Game, ya'll know the sample. Actually, I'm not really feeling Splash Warning. Championships - again, I wish it was a Ross joint.

After that I didnt have to hear anymore. Jay verse is better than 5 albums that were put out this year.

really fucking with it so far. meek is an acquired taste for a full album but he has a lot of shit to say on this album and i'm enjoying his approach.

surprised/unsurprised that one of the biggest releases of the year goes under the radar on a board where people consider themselves music snobs tho.
