If I had to rank them, it go like this...

Losing Out
Motown 25
Deadly Medley
3009500, Me too.

.
3009593, that’s probably the way I lean, but sometimes I think Deadly>Motown
Posted by DJR, Sat Sep-22-18 02:05 PM
Moreso in the car because i can rap along with their slower flows on that one. I can’t keep up with Motown 25 as easily. I always tended to play that one more in the headphones.
3009494, I listen to Motown 25 once a week at least
Posted by Nabs, Thu Sep-20-18 09:29 PM
I love all the songs, but that's the one. That beat just gets me every time.
3009498, ^ yup
Posted by Brew, Thu Sep-20-18 10:09 PM
I listened to Motown 25 like 5x a day for at least 8 months after that album came out. I think it still remains in my top 25 most played songs on my iPod (that I rarely use anymore but still ...)

Song just goes and goes hard.

Motown 25
Losin' Out
Deadly Medley

Can't go wrong with any of these songs tho.
3009594, I did that with all 3 of these when they came out

Recently had Losing Out come up in YouTube recommendations. And of course after that I wanted to hear Deadly Medley. And then that made me think I should listen to Motown 25. It was a hell of a 10-15 minutes, lol.
3009519, RE: Motown 25 is not available on Spotify. So sad
Posted by spirit, Fri Sep-21-18 06:35 AM
The whole Preface album ain’t on there. And Pandora says it’s can only play Motown 25 as a radio selection, due to “license issues.” TF? Is that shit only on Apple Music or something?

Peace,

3009533, Yea it used to be on there, was taken off earlier this year.
Posted by Brew, Fri Sep-21-18 09:41 AM
Not sure why. But yea that drove me nuts. I love that album.
3009537, One of several reasons why I use Google Music
Posted by Oak27, Fri Sep-21-18 09:50 AM
I can upload all of the mixtapes and other random albums (Jay-Z comes to mind) that aren't available on these platforms and stream them just as if they were.
3009543, Gonna have to look into this.

The lack of De La Soul and JayZ on Spotify has become a source of significant frustration for me recently.
3009549, Yeah, man. Unlimited (or at least it may as well be) cloud storage.
Posted by Oak27, Fri Sep-21-18 11:52 AM
3009544, Losing Out easily for me
Posted by mista k5, Fri Sep-21-18 10:55 AM
i love all three songs and when i saw the post i got angry, like you cant make me choose!!!

i just listened to all three and losing out is just awesome. motown 25 is great but i might had overplayed it or it hasnt aged as well. deadly medley is great as well but not touching losing out. i would probably give motown 25 the edge over deadly medley. royce's verse is so awesome.

this would be an awesome group.
3009548, Still elicits chills when I hear it.
Posted by adg87, Fri Sep-21-18 11:44 AM
Will always be a prob for me.
3009559, Losing Out beat is STILLL SOOOO CRAAZZZZZZZY.
Posted by High Society, Fri Sep-21-18 08:36 PM
3009592, yup, that’s what ultimately gives it the edge to me
Posted by DJR, Sat Sep-22-18 02:02 PM
Though it’s not easy. That’s why I made the poll, and was curious as to which one of these 3 the Lesson gives the edge to and how do you decide?

I feel like the rapping and production on all 3 are extremely high level....but that Losing Out beat is just extra next level. It’s beyond a 10/10. Like a 15/10.

One of the best and most distinctive beats of all time.
3009595, 1 Deadly Medley 2 Motown 25 3 Losing Out

3009602, Just relistened to these for the first time in a while

And what sticks out to me the most is just how good Black Milk's verse on Deadly Medley is. He has a serious contender for best verse on the song, which says a lot. Multis crazy, punchlines dope.

Best song on the list is Losing Out though. As someone said, the beat really puts it over the top.
3009654, black milk is great on both deadly medley and losing out
Posted by mista k5, Mon Sep-24-18 10:36 AM
surprisingly elzhi might be my least favorite things about these songs and he was great.
3009785, he sure is....he killed it on both of those
Posted by DJR, Thu Sep-27-18 11:25 AM
He took a major step up as a rapper on Tronic IMO, and Losing Out was a prime example.

Tronic was such a cool album. Easily his best IMO.
3009747, I vote Motown 25
Posted by spirit, Wed Sep-26-18 01:54 PM
Then Losing Out
then Deadly Medley

Wish we could have an Elzhi/Royce album produced by Black Milk.

Also why has Eminem never rapped over a Black Milk beat? SMH.

3009750, Had to listen to Motown 25 to refresh my memory. It's Losing Out.
Posted by self_ish, Wed Sep-26-18 02:59 PM
Definitely Losing Out. That song is special. Best beat of the bunch, distinct flow pattern(s), the "let's talk about" refrain in their rhymes...it's just a doper, more complete song than the others, to my ears.

still slaps.
3009790, No disrespect. All dope songs, but losing out by a mile.
Posted by stone_phalanges, Thu Sep-27-18 01:46 PM
