straight raw/'real hip hop'/gutter shit, vs high concept stuff with a wide range of emotions that's both abstract and pop-friendly.
Is Tarantino (Roc Marci) at his best "better" than Michel Gondry (Lupe) at his? Lupe/Gondry are my favorite, but i get why some people only like Tarantino/Roc Marci and enjoy them too.
