3008071, I have a time sensitive sketch idea Posted by handle, Sun Aug-12-18 10:13 PM
Okay, I saw that there releasing a film about the making of The Fire Heartbeats on August 27th of this year. https://radiofacts.com/making-the-five-heartbeats-revisits-robert-townsends-1991-classic-motown-inspired-movie/amp/
That means that we got lobby to get Robert Townsend on.
But I’ve had an idea since 1991 about: What if the Five Heartbeats somehow had the characters from the 1981 Andy Kaufman/Bernadete Peters film Heartbeeps? Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GrGBmi3BVfo
Get Jimmy, Higgins, and a few members of the roots and dress them light robots.
Ake one of the powerful scenes from the Five Heatbeats: “Why are niggers always crossing over something, huh? What's the matter? They can accept our music as long as they can't see our faces?”
And redo it as: “Why don’t they ever have our crossovers. What’s the matter? They can accept our music As long as they can’t see our circuits?”
Then some quick dancing to Hot Butter’s “Popcorn” ala this choreography while the robots “sing” the song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfdLh0MHqKw
Fade out with the text displayed: The End
Then 1 second before it goes to commercial add a:???
