3007631, "Time" is like the theme song of my adult life, post-28yo or so.

The lyrics below were always potent to me since I was put on to Floyd in college (2002ish). This was always my favorite Floyd song, and those lyrics you posted stuck out to me then just because they seemed deep and meaningful.

Now they stick out because they actually speak to me directly. Near-daily I think about how sad it is that time truly does fucking FLY, how easily memories fade as you add more years to your time spent on earth, how crazy it is that X event was Y years ago, that type of shit. The idea of "time" and mortality are the only things that legit put me on the verge of depression. Like where the eff does the time go haha.

Anyway yea - this song (and album) and these lyrics specifically are potent as fuck. And the way they come in after the breakdown in the song makes them feel even more epic.

>And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's
>sinking
>Racing around to come up behind you again
>The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older
>Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
>
>i was late to listen to Pink Floyd, didn't know any of their
>songs until about 10 years ago. this is one of the first ones,
>now i'm a huge fan.
