3005766, Curren$y & Harry Fraud - The Marina EP
Posted by wrecknoble, Thu May-31-18 02:07 PM
Curren$y and Harry Fraud are an incredible combination and I'm glad they made a follow up to the Cigarette Boats EP

I'm really feeling the production and Spitta's flows on this joint. the guest verses are all pretty fire too.

What are your thoughts?

tracklist:
01. Radar Tower
02. 14 Packs (feat. Smoke DZA)
03. The Visitor
04. On The Water (feat. Street Wiz)
05. Modena Moves (feat. French Montana)
06. Scarab 38 (feat. Action Bronson)
07. Sundown In Eleuthera
08. The Count (feat. Wiz Khalifa)
3005772, Dope. I feel like it's actually been a while since the last Curren$y project

And by a "while," I mean three months, which is a while for him. Especially after a relatively inactive 2017.
3005779, Cool, this might be the project that gets me back into Curren$y

I never stopped liking him, I just couldn’t keep up and gave up. But I LOVED Cigarette Boats. Recently a song from that played when I had my phone on shuffle in the car, and I was blown away all over again.

3005786, The first cigarette boats is a classic

Spittas flow is so on point on that project and the beats are next level. It was a nice surprise when it dropped too, because he put out Stoned Immaculate earlier in the week (which was disappointing) and CB dropped a few days later.

This new one is really good but I don’t think it can compare to the original.
3005787, I went to the store and bought The Stoned Immaculate on day 1

Bought Big KRIT’s album that day too. Possibly the last time I ever drove to the store and bought CD’s on release day.

I actually liked Stoned Immaculate quite a bit, but yeah on Cigarette Boats they were jboth ust in a zone.
3005814, same, I support Spitta projects

bc he gives us SO much for free, how can I not?

I had to get The Stoned Immaculate since it was his first major label release and he deserved that kind of support from his core fans

3005880, i expected more biscayne bay type of joints and less trap shit

Haven’t listened to the whole thing yet.
3006058, Sounds nice. Ship sailed on this dude, tho. He can't rap very well.

He just doesn't rap very well.

3006179, Good for Lupe. Curren$y can't rap very well, though. It's true.

Next to the top tier Black Thought, Phonte, Lupe, Royce types, he’s not on that level.

He’s got his lane though. And he’s made some really enjoyable albums/mixtapes.

3006191, Oh, of course. He made GREAT music. He's done, though.

That's the thing about being a good lyricist: you can always
have a second wind or a new great project because ultimately you'll
always have the CHANCE to say some new shit in a cool new
way. If you catch a new producer or new wave, you good.

This is why Black Thought is having the best individual run of
his career despite being at the game for 20 years. He can rap.

Jay-Z makes mostly awful albums now but he'll always get a
spin because ultimately Jay can rap.

Curren$y is entirely style and mood. He is not a very good rapper. And
the when the act wears thin, he's sorta done.
