Blaze Foley' "Girl Scout Cookies" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kA3TU9brTaE REASON: He's in BLAZE, a biopic about country singer Blaze Foley. It sounds like something you'd hear on a children's record and perhaps it was meant to be that way. Anyway, the song is the first song on Foley's debut album.
Tig Notaro Rose Royce's "I'm Going Down" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CuYdxN7r-E REASON: Notaro will appear in a future episode of FRESH OFF THE BOAT that will be called "The Car Wash" and out of the many songs on the Rose Royce soundtrack, many will remember it for its use in the film. Also, most would never associate Rose Royce with Notaro and while it would be far too easy to just play "Car Wash". I'm never that obvious.
