Eh.
2994803, Should we not be?
Posted by Mgmt, Mon Aug-28-17 10:44 PM
>Eh.

2994818, if you have no problem with culture vulture gimmicks?
Posted by Stadiq, Tue Aug-29-17 12:03 PM
go ahead, do you.

As long as you admit if this dude was black he would have gotten straight ran out off into oblivion a long time ago.

Like, this is objective fact.

On a positive note? maybe frat houses everywhere that love this dude will dig deeper into authentic hip hop, and maybe learn something.

What's funny though is I sometimes lurk on younger-learning boards to scope possible new sh!t, and it seems even the youngins are tired of this dude and think he's a f*cking joke.

So, outside of frat houses, white people who don't really like rap but listen to shock rap music ironically, and a few dudes in here...I'm not sure who this dude's audience is.
2994820, welp, you've got all bases covered
Posted by Mgmt, Tue Aug-29-17 01:29 PM
2994971, i mean, i guess if you care about what other people think
Posted by hardware, Fri Sep-01-17 05:30 PM
about what you listen to
2994975, Is he really a vulture tho?
Posted by double negative, Fri Sep-01-17 06:23 PM

His only big fuck up, and it was a really big one was when he went at Ghost.

But, I think AB is an interesting cat because he's repping a different NYC perspective - Albanian Muslim pops and a jewish moms and hes from Queens?
2995289, RE: if you have no problem with culture vulture gimmicks?

He isn't a culture vulture. He is someone from the culture, born and bred in it. If you grew up in Queens, specifically the flushing/corona/elmhurst/jackson heights area during the late 80s early 90s Action speaks very loudly to your own experience. The first time I heard and saw him, I literally had to look back into my memory banks and wonder if I knew him personally because he was that damn familiar. So it begs the question, is race the only factor of culture or only one of them? A son of Muslim father and Jewish mother growing up in the most diverse county in the world specifically during the time Queens was running rap with Nas, LL, Beatnuts, Kool G, Tribe etc etc. He is an example of what growing up knee deep in the culture is rather than a vulture of it.
2995327, uhmm...
Posted by howardlloyd, Tue Sep-12-17 06:16 PM
maybe all thats true

but anybody who grew up there in that time knows the rules

and no biting is #1

so he's disqualified
2995300, i don't get the sense he is a vulture

Listen...I love Ghost, in my opinion, top 10 to 15 MC all time, but to act like he is still bringing that heat like he use to, come on...Bronson is a NY Dude, and does he sound like Ghost in spots, yes, especially some of the older ish. That said, he has created his own lane at this point. Shit, with all this mumble rap bullshit, I would think cats would appreciate a new(er) school dude coming lyrical...to each their own...
2994787, Like the beats; seems a little short on instant quotables
Posted by Ishwip, Mon Aug-28-17 12:21 PM
"Suplex 'em through the salad bar" being an exception haha.

I don't like the beat anymore because its just a loop. ALC didn't FLIP IT ENOUGH!

Flip it enough? Flip these. Flip off. Go flip some f*cking burgers.(c)Kno

dogg is putting together a nice lil body of work.

his shit reminds me of the early redman albums, the way his wit and personality and sense of humor really shine thru in his music.
