Ludaversal was a damn good record....that dropped a week after To Pimp A Butterfly, so no one listened to it.

I think songs like:

....did not sound old to me. Then again, the record he tried with Ty Dolla $ign this year, Vitamin D

....sounds like he re-used a song from the Red Light District sessions and sounds hella dated.

To me Luda sounds like someone who doesn't keep his sword sharp more than anything else. Compared to someone like T.I. (who almost raps too much with his solos, features and Hustle Gang stuff) who when he needs to can hit you with a great 16 because Tip seems ready to switch flows (even if it doesn't sound good). Luda sounds like he jumps on the field with no practice time, and while he's talented enough not to make a fool of himself (like LL does sometimes) it's not as good as he could (or should) be given his years in the game.

I think a Luda x Organized Noize album should happen....a one producer record would prolly bring the best out of Luda IMO.
