So the question is:

can people of one generation really understand how the next generation "can't perceive" what we perceived as "hot" or "good"?

bearfield in one of your other posts compared Rakim to Chuck Berry as far as seemingly "uninteresting" to modern ears (most modern ears who like rock would presumably find Chuck Berry "uninteresting"):

So...

Unless, bearfield is really stretchinggggggggggggggg.......some new jacks think someone who blew away my generation (Rakim) is just doing some "uninteresting" stuff.


That's mindblowing to many of us...but a part of life is not being able to perceive what the next generation perceives.

A very "twilight zone" situation.


Ludacris sounds ok to me on that Bruno track.
