2993388, very few people started out as good at rapping as Ed did

I can remember people thinking a vet was writing his rhymes for him, because a guy that young writing like that was seen as almost impossible.
2993404, Man, I LOVED Legal. Still bang this album from time to time

Him coming back with the curl and seashell in his hair years after (only 2 but thats how rapid style shifts were in THE ACTUAL, FACTUAL golden eras) rhyming like a stunted retard killed his wave. Ed was effortless pre Nas. Arguably more lyrical too on some wordplay shit.

I measure rap fans on where they weigh in on certain improbable and often erased or marginalized LEGENDARY cats who impacted so profoundly sans these blah ass corporate "catalog" ass talking points.

Legal > It Was Written.

LANDSLIDE.

i've seen some lesser cats blow up and I know ED had game.i bet some cake he could have been in the mix in New York if some folks were willing to spend loot on him.

^^^^ one of the dopest first lines ..come on lets move it was the shit, and so was pretty much ALL of his first two LPs ..I cant think of another MC whos verses I remember by heart as well as Special Ed (even the backwards verse on "the magnificent" is etched in my mind
