That claim seems to me to be a claim that he is better than his peers in his generation. He's he's a better lyricist than Joey Bad@$$. Has the swag of ASAP Rocky and had made more classic songs than J. Cole.

Drake has more sales, but Kendrick is more clever and a better wordsmith than Drake.

Is Kendrick better than Hova, Nas, Pharoah, Rakim, KRS-ONE, Andre 3K and Em? I dunno. To me picking amongst the top 10 is more of a matter of taste than it is recognizing talent as skill.

I personally think Kendrick, more than any of his peers, is at that top level. Boasts like, 'I'm GOAT.' always seem figurative to me.
