Never had a bad response to any of them. Once he finds a track he likes he just kind of imprints himself into it. The downside to working with him is he's like the Hollywood dime in a room. Everyone who spots her starts throwing out bids and even if you're on point, well.. there's only so much time in a given month so you're lucky to get any date at all.

But yeah.. the man is a special talent. I'm honestly surprised he didn't blow on like Def Jux or some shit back in the day.

Plus he's just plain ol good people.

Musically I'd say he fits right into a lot of OKP sensibilities and I strongly urge folks to give him a listen.

So i have a copy of the album here on my hard drive.

I asked him if he needed a copy for his bandcamp in an email but i don't know if he ever got the email. I was wondering if maybe Merc didn't even have a copy myself. Anyway i can make mp3s and inbox since you can't even find it.

I love the 2 tracks i did with him I just wish i had a ton of beats i could send him to see if he feels them or not. I rarely end up making beats though.

I think if he actually feels the beat he gets a track done relatively fast. I need to find that first track I did with him way back on all these hard drives. It was a good 2 verses and beat but we never released it.

Been a big Obsidian Blue fan since DVS gave me a copy of Freon and it destroyed (In a good way) the sub woofer in my car.

Much props on this project.

At least, I hope.

Granted I have a deep personal regard for Merc but that's due in large part for my reverence for him as an artist.

He and OB have worked together before, to great affect in my book. They have great chemistry. Hopefully you enjoy him.

It was an early spring morning on Camp Lejeune, NC, where a lil' babe with swaddling clothes- wait, too far back....

Essentially, Merc and I have done music together off and on for years. If you look on the EPonymous EP, "Back Again" was our first track.

I didn't know about this one. Whatever happened to Omniverse? I love listening to stuff from the members of Okayplayer/Spitkicker back in the day. Mercury is one of my favorites - maybe because i had to listen to him like a million times editing a video for him :P I never got to listen to Obsidian much but i remember the word was he was one of the best producers on the boards back when i was more active.

I really love the I Know James one. Great beats by treb and really great to hear you over them.

When i first heard treb we were both on this Okayplayer compilation Suburban Elvises right next to eachother doing instrumentals and i think treb's beats are much better suited to an emmcee. Great stuff.
