Feels like a spiritual child of Game Theory production wise.

It’s probably just me but sonically this feels like Game Theory 2.

Pretty much every beat has me expecting Black Thought to chime in.
I’ve gone through it twice and I’m struggling to think of a hip hop album in recent memory that I like this much. It basically gives the same feeling I got listening to Train of Thought, Black On Both Sides, Like Water For Chocolate, Aquemeni, etc for the first time. There’s a rare level of cohesion from track to track, and not in the generic ‘trap beatz’ or ‘soul beatz’ album sort of way.

I want to jump on that next song but I don’t want to leave the current track either. The beats, rhymes, hooks, interludes, everything fits together and flows seamlessly from one to the next without feeling repetitive or monotonous.

Time will tell but on first glance this is going to be a landmark album. This every bit as adventurous as TPAB to me but has a much more accessible uniformity than Kendrick’s jazz ethos on TPAB.
