It's kinda how I feel about Macklemore - they're consistent in coming up with great and varied song and video concepts, and making rap music that feels like cohesive, good, catchy songs...
but the way he writes, everything feels so to the point and even obvious. there's no subtlety, no abstraction, things aren't worded in a particularly poetic way
