2951588, my picks Posted by johnbook, Sun Dec-06-15 07:43 PM
Will Ferrell Violent Femmes' "Gone Daddy Gone" https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=37&v=ekL7o8BQkZM REASON: Known to a younger genereation as a Gnarls Barkley song, it's in reference to Ferrell's new movie.
Alicia Vikander War's "H2Overture" https://youtu.be/IljaELxT4nU?t=3m23s REASON: I originally looked for a pastry song, as a danish is a pastry. Forget the fact it has nothing to do with her or new new movie but thought it would tie in. Nonetheless, I went to search for a War song and found War's "Danish Pastry", which is nothing but a blues dirge. Nice, but then I realized "wait: Lee Oskar is Danish" so I chose one of my favorite harmonica solos from the man, from my favorite War album. Thus: "H2Overture". The part of the song I highlight is the last musical "verse", where it's a harmonica and a saxophone solo so if the song is chosen, either do that or the part of the song in the middle that has a slight groove to it.
