2946631, Is the general consensus Big Boi is a far better emcee than Talib?

Talib seemed insulted that Bomani suggested Big Boi is a better emcee than him.

This was another solid CJ episode. Thank you 9th for coming though and bringing honest quality discussion to the show.

Though Kweli has brought less than quality ish over the last 4-5 years, no Big Boi ain't seeing Kweli on the mic….
2947036, I don't understand your standards sometimes bruh.

Haha. The last 2 years Kweli has dropped some fucking FIRE. And I'm sorry but call his overall work uneven if you want, but lyrically this dude never fell off.

Please link me to 4-6 tracks that your feelin from Talib from the past 2-3 years…I'm open to listen….
2947066, Word. I will be back to provide you with those.

By the way I didn't mean that as any kind of disrespectful comment. I see how it can be taken as such. All I meant was that a lot of times I read your posts and I feel like you and I have really similar tastes in hip-hop; and then you throw a curveball like the above Talib comment and I'm thrown off. Haha.

Anyway I'm running out to lunch but I'll be back and will post up some joints for you.

I dug like 3 of the tracks, yet nothing hits like his old(er) ish...I mean, it's cool, but most of them did not have that replay value..."State of Grace"-very dope..."DREAM"-cool ish..."Demonology"-cool...Just seems like Kweli feeds off of dope beats when he is at his best, and these joints just can't come close to what he has done in the past...Kweli got them lyrics no doubt, needs the right production IMO...
2947035, He should be.

Cause Bomani wrong.
2947039, I wouldn't say general consensus but

Big Boi is better than Talib to me
2947079, they're pretty even.. I'll take RE & BlackStar over Outkast though..

2947122, as for Complex being culture vultures
Posted by j., Mon Oct-12-15 10:09 PM
I don't know them dudes so I can't speak on that
I don't read complex or follow their lists, none of that shit
but I do know that CJ had that video series a couple of years ago with them, and it seemed like grand opening grand closing
Maybe Talib has a point, being that CJ didn't interject when he was calling them out, and we all know CJ is the king of "no shots"
