I understand you not liking Jay. We all have our preferences, but to act like he just
wasn't shit at all on the mic is pretty preposterous.
I'm not the biggest fan myself, but I had a brief Jay-Z phase, and I can say he knows
how to spit to the beats he's on in a way that make the beat more enjoyable than they
would be with some other emcee on it. Sometimes you have to consider the fact
that someone who's really good at what they do makes it look effortless to the point
that you don't realize that what they're doing is that great.
I mean he still has hot beats on his records, but his flow suffers now, and that causes
his songs to be less ill than they were previously. When he was at the top of his game,
he was working the shit outta them beats. Even I gotta give him that.
