2928673, respect to y'all who love vinyl as the best sound quality, but...

...I'm definitely not in that boat.

vinyl to me is an alternative, nostalgic, romantic listening experience, reserved for those albums I REALLY really like.

but for me, "the best" sound quality is the closest thing that the mastering engineer will hear when he's mastering the project, which I understand (correctly? incorrectly?) nowadays as the highest-resolution digi copy. AND, if I'm not mistaken, all vinyl today is pressed from digi masters anyway. gone are the days of tape masters specific for vinyl projects. but maybe the recent vinyl resurgence will change this. fingers crossed.

with that in mind, if I'm gonna pay $20 for an album, I'd love to have a high-res digital copy come with my vinyl so 1, I can have the best-available-per-my-preferences digi copy of the album, and 2, so I can compare and really understand the sound differences between the formats.
