#1 - can we please stop using the term "boombap"?
nobody called sample-based rap production that in the 90's.
the term is came from mimicking soul-style breakbeats.
hence, no breakbeat = no boom bap.

#2 - that "sound" is mike zombie. not boi-1da or vinylz

#3 - i've argued for literally years that the east coast needed to rock tempos 80-110 bpm if they ever wanted to make music that sounded like it was from the east coast.
