Curren$y from before Pilot Talk even dropped.

I do feel that some of his recent work has lost the vibe that he brought back then. There are hints of it on the last couple of mixtapes but not a lot. I was a huge fan of the Cigarette Boats EP with Harry Fraud though.

I'm definitely hoping PT3 will be a return to that nasty flow. And I'm praying that Ski Beatz is back in the picture.
2917047, PT2 is a personal classic

I don't know how someone can't feel this album.

Production = 10/10

Concept/Vibe = 10/10

Lyrics = 7.5/10

But you don't have to have mindblowing lyrics for an album to be a classic though.
2917076, It is a good album, but no

I had some really great times with it though, used to bump it allot, probably revisit it because of this post. I have always thought that Curren$y, lyrically, though he isn't bad, could've done a little bit better on the two Pilot Talks (yes I know, unpopular opinion), but despite that, they are good albums and he hasn't really done anything better since. The production is fantastic.
2917138, Covert Coup takes the cake imo.. but that, PT1 & 2 are probably classics

or about as close as it gets for me in the 2010s
2917146, No, but it's a pretty good album

2917176, Important question: Is Ski doing the production for Pilot Talk 3?
Posted by mrhood75, Tue Jan-20-15 02:41 PM
If not, why would they even call in PT3?
2917177, Agreed, and according to David Barnett (who does the cover art)..
Posted by wrecknoble, Tue Jan-20-15 02:53 PM
.. Ski Beatz is involved

Buy I haven't really seen any confirmation of this from Curren$y or anyone else in his camp. At one point I remember reading that PT3 was going to be mainly Monsta Beatz. Mind you this was a long time ago, so I'm hoping Ski is back in the picture.
2917192, I saw a tweet confirming it

Cool and Dre have some beats on there. Possibly Joey Fatts too.
2917196, Covert Coup is a cult classic

2917212, BTW: PT 1 and 2 aren't available digitally anymore

Im guessing this is the result of the Damon Dash lawsuit.
2917281, interesting.. glad I copped both as physical copies back then

The BluRoc period was an awesome time for rap music, but of course Dame had to go and screw that all up..
