2905065, not sure no one adopted the sound is true... Posted by High Society, Fri Oct-10-14 08:09 PM
because the sound of Yeezus is already a sound.
Ye kinda adopted the sound from a bunch of young guys making music today.
He exec produced this album saying I need a bit of this and a bit of this and edited it all together.
There's an interesting article on the net don't remember who the producer was but he said Ye would tell 3 or 4 producers I need X. Those 3 or 4 producers would all go make their version of what X was in their mind. Ye would then pick the X that he thought best fit his idea.
It's not necessarily a new concept, I feel like I've read Dre does something similar - but I don't know if he's done it to the extent Ye was doing it on Yeezus with 3 or 4 ideas from 3 or 4 diff producers on one song. Like drums from Rza, or Tip, dark melody from ARCA or Travis Scott, flow pattern from Pusha, and other rappers. Samples from producer 1, 2, or 3.
Just a cool way for one of the biggest artists in the world to make music imo.
