I haven't confirmed this, but I think the names for the 1996-2000 batches are Questlove's naming. My suspicion roots from the names containing deep knowledge of sample sources along with his trademark, stream of consciousness style of writing.
Example names:
Do It See It Be It Dammit! (1999 Batch)
same tip drums minus the pass (2000 Batch)
Upper Gogypt, Lower Gogypt (1996 Batch)
joe pass and a ding w/ james on the synth
I could be wrong, but those feel like Questlove names to me.
