an artist who desires to present their work for consumption produces and releases their work...

but someone who is not ...for whatever reason....putting their work out for consumption, would still be an artist...

people who...again for whatever reason....want to dismiss D'Angelo as an artist because he has taken so long between released projects are placing an unrealistic importance on themselves as an audience or consumer...

it's not about you....

If you dug what D'Angelo did...great...if you didn't...fine...

if you dig what is coming...great..if you don't..that's cool too..

that's the great thing about being a human being....free will....

D'Angelo is under no obligation to do anything for anyone...he doesn't owe an audience anything..

people really need to get over themselves and grow up.... Go watch somebody lip sync in a concert or "sing" over pre-recorded tracks...or bump some n^gga auto-tune rap-singing on some R&B track... if it ain't for you...fukk with what is for you....

personally...people who sit back and rejoice in other's shortcomings or problems ..or other people's lack of production are come across as insecure weirdos after a while...they speaking louder about themselves then they are the artist who they are so ravenous about critiquing....
