I'm shocked. He was only 61.
Devo is my favorite rock band ever, and I'm sad to hear of his passing.
He was also a member of Mutato Muzik, and worked on the soundtracks for The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Rugrats, The Lego Movie, and many more.
On a personal note: I briefly sold T-shits for a promoter for the 1988 Devo tour and had met/talked with Bob and his relatives on several occasions. He was a very nice man.
