Posted by mrshow, Sun Feb-16-14 01:25 AM
is putting him in a whole different league. I want to hear him produce for any and every member of Black Hippy.
2870840, Did Freddie Gibbs diss Dom Kennedy?
Posted by ry 213, Sun Feb-16-14 03:30 PM
On Grew Up n he ended his verse with "pussy niggas get home safely". I could be reading too much into it, but who knows...
2870886, you never know with that nigga..he does live in LA now

2873211, I doubt it, they've worked together too much
Posted by Nodima, Sat Mar-01-14 05:35 PM
and Dom kinda strikes me as the kinda dude Freddie might've been if he came up in Lemert Park instead of Gary.

2870926, he actually got back to rapping and fitting in the pocket of beats again
Posted by daskap, Sun Feb-16-14 11:28 PM
this is the Spitta I became a fan of during the mixtape era, not this awkward flowing version that has been popping up on the last few projects.
2873339, Thought I was the only one that noticed this!!

That whole awkward flowing shtick has plagued many of the modern rappers. Kind of like how all the New York rappers were doing the whole whiny voice thing back in like 04-05.
2871376, Standout tracks for me were
Posted by ChiefRocka, Wed Feb-19-14 06:11 PM
Stove Top
Vintage Vineyard
Stolen
Grew Up In This
The Usual Suspects

Good to see Spitter is keeping up his exceptional level of quality and consistency. Now when the fukk we getting that Pilot Talk 3?

Would love to see him do a full project with Thelonious after hearing this, as well as the joints he did on Bales
2873212, finally carved some time for this, simply incredible.

Man, Thelonious Martin is so totally that dude. I'm amazed it's taken someone this long to pull a sample from Andrew Hale's beastly L.A. Noire score ("Vintage Vineyard"). The lyrics are still A-level, in fact he's moving into some new territory; he seems real mad at some local whack rappers or something because he is taking dudes to task at times on here. I'm also loving the proliferation of small storytelling moments, like the basehead on "Stove Top" or the wine tasting on "Vintage Vineyard". All the guests are great, production is likely going to bei n the running for top 5 all year long...

Who the Fuck Is Curren$y?
