Ryan Seacrest
The Carpenters' "Sing"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LYekeK0HWo
REASON: Written by Joe Raposo (one of the many songwriters who contributed to SESAME STREET's great songs over the years), this is one of the few songs from childhood that can bring a tear to my eye because of its simplicity and what it meant as a kid who tried to figure himself out. Just the line "don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing... sing a song" will do it for me, and I'm 5 years old all over again. I was going to suggest EW&F's "Sing-A-Song", but people on AI are there to sing, and I feel the theme fits perfectly.

Gabrielle Union
Mary J. Blige's "Mary Jane"

REASON: BEING MARY JANE. Plus, MY LIFE celebrates its 20th anniversary this year so... in honor.
