I just STILL can never get into that album. To me, it's that weird, out there hip hop that tends to mostly be praised by non-urban denizens. Which is why I brought it up when Anticon and Sage Francis came up, because, if my memory serves me right, they were all lauded the same amount of praise by those same media outlets.

And, my main beef is that, at one point, the only hip hop albums that got praise by those kinds of guys was either Jay and Kanye albums or REALLY underground stuff like the aforementioned artists.

It wasn't until Pitchfork saw a market for praising lesser known gangster rap artist that everyone else followed tow and started to actually listen to these albums with a different, more OPEN ear.
