Prince was making fun of him in Purple Rain with the evil daddy and the white wife...that was Rick.
Prince prolly tried to get old ass Rick to play his daddy in the movie...but Rick didn't want to take the wig off exposing that Sherman Hemsley/George Jefferson hairline.
