what's happening in that janelle post, where cats are trying to assert (though they won't out right say it because they know it's not true) that bruno mars writes better songs than janelle. all of the detail that goes into what janelle is doing on a songwriting level (even when wearing her influences) gets lost on those looking for the minimal songwriting aesthetic of todays hit pop market.
