as a kid, felt like they were just following in that NWA lane a little too hard, right down to the record company & having Dre Executive-Producer & do tracks for.
But when I moved out here in '04 I really got into the later stuff with Julio G bumping them during his return to KDAY before it became full-on rap oldies station over there.
That Uncle Sam's Curse album is a beast. That is a pure-mid-90's-Westcoast-gangster-rap classic.
It even just sounds better out here.
