These 2 albums came out before he came into his own artistically, but both records have some great songs.

he died at 25 (like gotdamn) as proof.
2829559, All Pac records have some great songs, none are great albums

but these are both better than All Eyez On Me.
2829561, man GTFOH...at 2pacloyase now being better than All eyes on me
Posted by Menphyel7, Tue Aug-06-13 03:21 PM
I see a case for Strickly for my niggaz..that's a great album and I love it to death.

2paclyase now, Me against the world, all eyes on me and 7 day theory are great albums.
2829564, All Eyez On Me ain't even really a good album let alone great
Posted by Bombastic, Tue Aug-06-13 03:27 PM
those other two are his closest but still not there.

Pac was rap's James Brown in terms of how he worked, which led to lots of great songs but not a single fully realized great album.
2829560, Honestly, I didn't care for 2Pacalypse but Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.
Posted by Nick Has a Problem...Seriously, Tue Aug-06-13 03:20 PM
has always been my shit! Maybe three or four songs I don't dig. The rest of the album I love.
2829562, Holla if you hear me might be the best Pac song ever

2829580, yep def has that bomb squad feel
Posted by Menphyel7, Tue Aug-06-13 03:49 PM
2pac wanted to be Cube..I wonder what would had happen if he found a bomb squad
2829592, And later Cube wanted to be Pac

Funny how things go.

On topic tho Strictly is up there with Makaveli
and Me Against the World as his best IMO

2829597, what the fuck is underrated about em? they ain't no classics
Posted by LAbeathustla, Tue Aug-06-13 04:40 PM

2829621, They aren't underrated because as you said, he hadn't come into his own.

He was listening to Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Paris & a little Too Short then going straight to the studio to make knockoff versions of their shit. Should we really be giving him props for that?

2829655, when I was younger Strictly... was my favorite Pac album
Posted by Nodima, Tue Aug-06-13 06:38 PM
it was like 2-4 years probably from first actually listening to 2Pac CDs that I came around to the more popular, Death Row stuff (Makaveli is now my favorite Pac album).

I've still only listened to the double disc MAYBE a hand full of times.

SFMN was great. I got it when it came out and was blown away.

Unfortunately, he went on to be "2PAC" and....

yeah.
2829666, Add Thug Life Volume 1 as well
Posted by go mack, Tue Aug-06-13 07:14 PM
that's my personal fav Pac album, maybe cuz its short at 10 songs but I played that front to back a lot when it dropped

I thought both 2pacalypse and Strictly start off great but do have a lot of filler. That bass in Violent tho I always loved bumping loud, vibrating the whole apartment
2829670, Dope album as well
Posted by Nick Has a Problem...Seriously, Tue Aug-06-13 07:31 PM
Pac was poppin before death row fa sho
2829695, had two of his greatest songs, Str8 Ballin & How Long Will They Mourn Me

2829709, Those are the only two albums of his (plus the Thug Life one) that ever...
Posted by mrhood75, Tue Aug-06-13 09:12 PM
...really connected with me. I probably consider them both easily his best work. "Strictly" might even be classic to me. I think post-1993, 'Pac kinda went up his own ass and believing his own hype, and his music suffered for it. These two are both great though.
2829739, 2Pacalypse is my favorite out of these two.
Posted by gritty, Tue Aug-06-13 11:21 PM
2pacalpyse is a really great album. Strictly was uneven album.

Oh yeah, the Thug Life album was excellent, that's an underrated album.
2829765, strickly and me against. .. are my two favorite pac albums

2830030, Strictly Is My Favorite Pac Album
Posted by Luke Cage, Wed Aug-07-13 05:57 PM
Me Against The World is great but Strictly was one of my favorite releases of 93. I bumped every song on there and every collaboration fit. It was his best job of mixing his East meets West coast styles. Holla If You Hear Me Is still my all time favorite Pac song.
2830927, Strictly 4 My Niggaz is my favorite pac album as well
