Flow has ONE, operational definition:

How well a rapper makes a range of beats sound like they
were made specifically for them. That is flow. Everything
else is irrelevant or y'all just making shit up.

And Jay isn't successful at that more than Nas is. Like,
no one ever is more successful at that than Nas is.

Nas brags over sugary beats with G.Rap (Fast Life) and
AZ (multiple songs). His style wraps itself around the
beat.

Nas tough talks on 'Eye for an Eye' with Mobb Deep.
Enough said, there.

Nas did it just recently on the J.Cole beat.

Nas did it on 'We Major'

There is NO rapper, EVER, who masterfully kills a RANGE
of beats and styles. Like, ever. Its because of flow --
he adapts his style, rhythm to the style of the beat.

Jay mumbled his way through 'Renegade'. Jay mumbles his
way through lots of beats. This is why his last few albums
have been garbage: the lyrics themselves aren't bad (Jay is
a great lyricist). He's missing that element that crafts his
style and persona to the beats themselves.

If Nas gets MCHG beats that is a 4.5 mic album.

If Jay gets 'Life is Good' beats its a total shitfest with
Jay randomly bragging about being a sports agent and beyonce
and mumbling around those beats.

Nas makes beats BETTER because of his flow.

This is specifically why Nas' guest appearances are better
than Jay's, and is why Nas doesn't get outshined the way
Jay does (like, all the time). Nas gets on his beat, and finds
a way to wrap his style around it in a way that Jay cannot.

That is flow.

Nas in 'We Major' >>> ANY Jay verse with Kanye, and Nas pretty
much wrote that verse in five minutes.

That is flow.
