Gangsta Gibbs and the legendary crate-digger preview a new EP.

Long-awaited collaborative album Piñata (shortened from the original — and brilliant — title Cocaine Piñata) is now due for release on February 4, 2014 via Madlib Invazion. The album is a guest-heavy affair that will feature feature Raekwon, Scarface, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis, Joey Bada$$, Ab Soul, BJ The Chicago Kid, Meech (of Flatbush Zombies), Casey Veggies, Mac Miller, Polyester the Saint, and G-Wiz.

To hold fans over, the duo will release the Deeper EP next week; stream the title track below. As always, Gibbs’ razor-sharp flow pairs nicely with Madlib’s soul-flavored beatcraft. Earlier this summer, DJ Spinn describes the duo’s Thuggin EP as an “instant classic.”
