That beats just sounds perfect for them. I think it would been their biggest hit.

ha.

i would like to hear them on it.

"I'm Morpheus in this hip-hop Matrix, exposing fake shit"
2721300, i don't know.

i think if MOP had made a song with that beat, it would have been looked at as pandering to get a bigger audience.

Sixth Sense is too accessible a sound for MOP.

I guess if they would have had their 'Song Cry' song, it might have worked for them.

at least we'll always have 'Ante Up'.

i love the collective sentimentality for ante up.

edit:

WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2721444, I never thought that beat would attract a larger audience.

But Premier was in high demand at that time. So they might have been accused for that. I dunno, they work with premier normally though. I wish I knew how to put a few verses of theirs on that beat.
2721451, I'm glad he didn't.

That song is flawless. Common ripped it. Bilal killed the hook. Would've been a shame to have never been graced with that track as is.
2721474, nah

2721482, if you knew how the beat got tailored for Common...
Posted by Boximus Crime, Wed Jul-18-12 01:17 PM
Or in fact....the feel ?uest requested from Preemo when getting the beat. You'd laugh.
2721487, if you tell me the story I'll tell you how to spell tailored n/m

.
2721491, I laughed.

I wanna hear the story, too.
2721501, well...

When ?uest got at Preem he wanted something in the vein of "Brownsville" that track on Firing Squad. That beat is what Preem cooked up based off that request. So the funny part is he says he wish M.O.P was on it when in fact they were in mind for Preem to make it in the first place.
2721655, sounds like OP was Spot on then.

It's too melodic for them. They would've had to hit a topic tha woulda matched the 'color' of the beat. I think it went to the correct MC.
2721828, It's Dope But M.O.P. Would've Put A Different Spin On It...

...that wouldn't be as dope like it is now with Common on it; even if Premier was trying to make a beat that was similar to something that he would've given M.O.P.

I still think the "6th Sense" beat was just a little too laid back for them, it would've been one of those "just another M.O.P. song produced by Premier" instead of one of their popular joints; damn Premier produced six songs off of "Warriors" and hardly nobody talks about those joints.
