I don't understand why dude records so much material yet makes it so damn hard for his fans to actually get it.

i always viewed him as "outsider art,"
like if he was in a real life Twilight Zone episode
& was the dude who got locked in the bank vault & saved from the apocalypse,
he'd still be making the same exact music w/ or w/o the rest of us all here.


but still - i'm tryna be selfish & get that shit out anyway.

exactly.
this is where i'm coming in

he's given me his full discography to pick from,
gonna selecting a full LP's worth of tracks
(i'm already made my list, the hard part now is narrowing it down & finding the right sequence)

then from there, he's gonna send us the multi-tracks to each song
for me & my engineer to go over & mix/master
+ get my art guy to do some cool artwork for it

& that should be about it.

i know its an "official" retail release, still
but i think its a step in the right direction at least

& yes, they will be all be individual songs as well.


...just dont ask me when we're gonna be done w/ it, LOL.
still in the early stages.

could certainly use some help, but the albums/EPs are already thematically considered and sequenced... do you think you can improve on what the artist intended, or do you just want to introduce people to his music with your own "best of"?

definitely the latter

he's already done mixtapes/compilations of "greatest hits" already -
Angels In The Outpost was Vol. 2
& i forget what he called Vol. 1... i'm sure someone here can fill in the blank for me

so this will just be presented as my selection for the Wardolphin Mixtape Series, Vol. 3
as it won't include any of the songs previously included in the first two
& will focus on all of the material released after Vol. 2

i just started getting into this cat recently. i really like the way he infuses elements of Brazilian jazz/flaminco with soul and folk. very unique style, imo.
