FAQ and about: http://www.mumuplayer.com/about/

MuMuPlayer allows up to 5 users (on the current version) to enter a chat room and upload music to listen to together. You create a room and can invite others using a link. All users can upload music that will create a playlist for the entire room.

MAIN RULES:

1. ALL CONTROLS ARE "LIVE!" This means that whatever button you press affects everyone else. The only control/button that only affects you is the volume, so feel free to do as you wish. This is important to remember and many of the subsequent rules are based on this feature.

2. DO NOT ERASE OTHER PEOPLE'S TRACKS! The original poster can remove them, and if that original poster leaves the room, the tracks will also automatically disappear. This means there is no reason for you to mess with other people's uploads.

3. DO NOT PRESS THE CLEAR BUTTON! As mentioned, what you do with any of the controls affects everyone else, and clearing the entire playlist that people have contributed to will probably get you kicked and banned. Don't be an ass.

4. DO NOT MOVE THE SONGS OR TRACKER AROUND! Only move the songs or tracker/seeker with approval from the other people in the room.

5. Try not to upload extremely long songs unless the other people in the room approve. You may love a track, but keep in mind everyone else may not share the same taste, and being forced to sit through a 15+ minute song can be extremely trying on other people's patience, even if The Lesson is fairly civil.

My suggestion for the queue/playlist is to order it 1 song per person so that everyone gets a chance to share music. Sharing and talking about music is the main premise behind the site, so make it enjoyable for people who come in late to have their chance and not make them have to wait through an entire playlist to get to their songs.

For example:

Person 1
Person 2
Person 3
Person 4
Person 5
Person 1
Person 2
Person 3
Person 4
Person 5
and repeat.

As you get people entering and leaving, try your best to keep this order, as I feel that this is the most fair solution for everyone. You're not forced to do this, and this is, again, just my suggestion.

As for this thread, I think it would be best to put the date, time, and room name in the subject headings to allow for easy navigation and room location. If we're trying to go for musical themes, you can do that too.

I hope that covers things. Feel free to tell me to edit or add to the rules if you think some changes are needed.
