13337584, OKP fashionistas - question about FRENCH CUFF SHIRTS Posted by fontgangsta, Mon Jun-10-19 03:18 PM
k, i used to wear them often. I dont anymore, but i got one for my wedding. However, its a little bulky under my tux jacket sleeve.
so heres my question: you know how french cuff shirts have that double length cuff, and you fold it back in on itself? are there any that are NOT like that? like, pretty much just a normal cuff, but with no buttons and 2 slats that you close with cufflinks?
BC im thinking of taking my shirt in to my tailor, having them take off that extra fabric at the end of the cuff to have less bulk there under my jacket sleeve. Is this blasphemous, sartorially?

13337808, yeah, there are shirts like that (regular cuff, double slats for links) Posted by GROOVEPHI, Wed Jun-12-19 07:36 AM
I wore a shirt like that for my wedding. Personally, I don't like them. I feel like the folded French cuff looks better with cufflinks. The weight of the links are too heavy for a regular cuff, in my opinion. A lot of tux rental spots have these kinds of shirts.
edit: I rented a tux last year from theblacktux.com and they sent me a shirt like the one you are requesting.
