always loved black crowes, but more so just his voice, so all the solo stuff hes been doing since the group broke up (again) is great to me

goldlink - diaspora 4.5/5 im not sure if this will fade or get better on more listens. i wasnt expecting this sound so i have to adjust to it.

your old droog - transportation 5/5 i cant believe that score. every track hits though. i really liked the production and the rapping is on point. im thinking it will fade some on repeat listens but for now this was great.

I'ma check out that BlocBoy ... Simi was decent but his last EP (or whatever that was) was eh

Upon first listen, not quite as tight as Pinata, but there's a lot to like there, so I'm sure I will revisit it more. LOL @ him maybe coming out as an anti-vaxxer on that song with Pusha and Killer Mike, though.

the production was excellent. gibbs is okay. he had some tracks that really worked well, practice and cataracts come to mind. in most tracks i was wishing someone else was rapping over the beats. hes not bad but they songs would potentially be favorites with a rapper i really liked on them.

wish education didnt use that sample, too familiar. would had love to had heard them rapping to something fresh. still liked it and might like it more one repeat listens.

definitely liked the album more than i thought i would. maybe even loved parts. id say its a 4/5 album with potential for 4.5/5 with repeat listens. i will definitely come back to it.

But there's also this arrogance that runs through the entire project which reminds me of the arrogance he displayed after his rant/fuck up earlier this year. They seem connected to me.
