Yeah yeah it’s better to get gas than to be stranded but that’s never happened to me before in a Lyft or Uber and I found it odd.
Hopefully Lyft won’t count it as an extra stop or I am gonna go off.

Took my passenger 20+ miles to the airport, only for us to get there and she realized she left her passport at home. She paid me cash to take her back home, then back to the airport. I told her that I would have to stop and get gas along the way and she was cool about it.
Regular trip cost her about 30 bucks. She paid me $50 for the "off the clock" trip, so I was cool.
But nah...I dont make it a habit of doing that. Your driver was slack on his "fuel level" monitoring. And nah, you wont be charged extra for that.

If it's like a $15 trip, and you're caught in crazy traffic and don't move at one point, it's still gonna be a $15 trip. So gas shouldn't matter.
