13312005, Georgia really Belichicked Stacey Abrams out of the Governorship.

I think that pisses me off as much as the afore-referenced.

Watching her last night give the response to That Shit I Ain't Watch makes me wish we'd see her again, somehow, in Washington.
13312006, People are pushing her to run for Senate

against David Perdue, who's up in 2020.

I would have rather seen her in the governorship, just because that would be a better presidential springboard. But obviously the Senate could work as well.
13312059, If they wouldn't elect a white woman, you they'll elect a black one?

13312088, because we've been nominating nothing but milquetoast white people

and changing that calculus (e.g. nominating a dynamic black woman) got Dems mobilized for a statewide race in a way that I'd never seen in my nearly two decades in Georgia politics. not to mention that the deck was stacked. 50K vote difference out of 2.6 million cast. Trump was nominally on the ballot in 2018--he's actually on the ballot in 2020. regardless of if Stacey is the nominee or not, it will be an extremely competitive race for Dems.
13312007, David Perdue's Senate seat is up in 2020

She's got to be the D nominee if she even halfway wants it, right?
13312009, didn't watch the SOTU but I loved her response

it kinda sounded like a (Presidential) campaign speech to me, I hope we see a lot more of her
13312038, she's dynamic in person.

she's been to my wife's training facility a couple of times. very small crowd and she's just as eloquent, has a presence and is also welcoming.

she also came to South DeKalb mall during the election. we were waiting in line to vote and she dropped in just to say thanks to those supporting her. she's pretty dope.
13312052, She'll get there and, yes, she got jobbed

To continue the comparison, what happened to her campaign was basically Belichick decided to ref the game, refused to step aside, then decided 1/5th of her team was ineligible to play because they were too black.
