To remove the plug that I removed, I had to use a special shaped star allen wrench. It was a non-standard size at that lol. I don't even remember WHY/HOW/IF I already had one on hand or if I went out and bought one for the task lol.. i'm HOPING I just already had one....

So that shoulda been my first clue that was doing something dumb... no way any manufacturer would require a special size too to remove a basic oil plug...

If I recall correctly, the trans fluid on the B6 A4 had to be essentially injected into the car via some pressurized system.
