13307479, Does outrage culture count?

Saw an article on CNN where a quadriplegic journalist was crying the blues because Bryan Cranston was playing the lead character in a wheelchair.

The funny thing is some "outrage" I can kind of see where the person is coming from, but when logic kicks in (are there any quadriplegics with Hollywood star power that could have played, or auditioned for, that role? weren't there flashbacks in the movie where Cranston's character had to stand up? shouldn't real-life melancholic green frogs be picketing Kermit for taking all the good roles?) then it starts to feel like people will always, always find a reason to protest or be upset about everything. I hear the word "think piece" today and I get in a mood.

If it's always been like this, I only started noticing the past five or so years.
